Country Economist
Role purpose: he/she will monitor and carry out periodic reviews of economist developments in assigned member countries, including global/regional markets and trends.
Required qualifications:
* 3-5 years of working experience on cross-cutting development issues, of which at least 2 years relating to the subject of national/regional/international development
* Track record of initiating and carrying out analytical/diagnostic work on developmental issues
* Economic policy research/analysis background desirable
Education: post-graduate degree in Economics or any other field related to development work
This position requires frequent travel to assigned country/ies
Lead Economist
Role purpose: he/she will provide policy advice and analysis to member countries, management of an organization on the design and implementation of Member Country Partnership Strategies (MCPS) and associated country programs with a mindset to ensure the desired impact. To act as a point of contact and reference on all economic reports on member countries by overseeing and approving all reports as well as conducting studies on key issues of regional importance, acting as an advisor to the division/department
Required qualifications:
* at least 10 years of working experience on cross-cutting development issues, of which at least 8 years relating to the subject of national/regional/international development
* Substantial track record of initiating and carrying out analytical/diagnostic work on developmental issues
Education: PhD degree in Economics or any other field related to development work
This position requires frequent travel to assigned country/ies
