Human Rights Watch International Film Festival

The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) Film Program, the Peabody Essex Museum, and Human Rights Watch are proud to present the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival, January 17–22. This is the sixth consecutive year this festival is being hosted by MFA. This year, 15 films featuring documentaries focusing on the United States, South Africa, Israel, Nicaragua, Austria, and Ethiopia will be presented. Also included are four feature films from Tibet, India, Lebanon, and Argentina. Two of the films in this festival continue at the MFA as engagements: opening night documentary Sacco and Vanzetti (festival date: Jan 17; engagement: Jan 24–28), and closing night feature film Captive (festival date: Jan 28; engagement: Feb 10–16). Other highlights include: the Israeli-Arab documentary Men on the Edge (Jan 18 and 21) and the Lebanese feature A Perfect Day (Jan 20).
